Where the plates are made
What a buyer is really checking on this page is whether we are a paper plate manufacturer or a trading desk with a catalogue. The line is ours and it runs inside the plant we already operate, not at a subcontracted mill. Everything a buyer would want to check is checkable in one place.
The line sits on the same single integrated site as sheet extrusion, moulding, printing, QC and warehousing, so a factory audit covers the paper plate line, the tooling workshop, the inspection stations and the finished-goods warehouse on one visit.

What we make
We make four structures, and the right one is decided by the menu and by how the plate travels between the kitchen and the guest.
Raised Rim carries a formed edge that holds sauces, dressings and released juices on the plate while a guest carries it one-handed down a buffet line. Catering floors, curry and stew service, grilled items finished with sauce, and salad bars where dressing is added at the station all run on this structure. When a menu has anything wet on it and guests are standing, the rim is the specification that decides whether the service works.
Standard Round is the flat profile with a shallow lip, made for dry and self-contained servings: sandwiches, pastries, cake slices, barbecue sides, dessert stations and snack service. It stacks tightly and dispenses fastest from a hand-held stack at a counter, which is what a high-turnover takeaway window and a seated cafeteria both want.
Deep gives a bowl-like draw for loose and wet portions: pasta, rice bowls, chilli, stews, dressed salads and cut fruit. It is also the structure to use when plated portions travel across a venue on trolleys before they reach a table.
Compartment keeps mains, sides and sauce apart in a divided layout. Staff canteens, school and hospital feeding, set-meal service and boxed event catering use it because portions can be plated ahead of service and held without the components running together.

Rim height, depth and compartment layout are all adjustable inside each structure, so a menu that sits between two of them gets a plate built to land on it.

Board and barrier
Every plate starts from food-grade paperboard. The coating is chosen on two questions: what sits on the plate and for how long, and what your destination market lets you print on the pack.
The grease and moisture barrier for oil-rich and saucy menus. Fried items, hot mains held through a service period, curries and anything that releases liquid onto the board all call for it, because it is what keeps a portion from softening the plate under the guest’s hand halfway through the meal.
A plant-based barrier for buyers whose market, retail customer or event contract asks for a compostable specification. It handles the same service duties as PE in the guest’s hand, and it is the option to select where the destination waste stream and labelling rules support the claim you intend to make.
Suits dry service: bread, pastries, cake slices, snacks and dry buffet sides, and it is the common choice where a buyer’s local recovery stream prefers plain board.
What you can change

Branded plates
Branded plates fail at the artwork stage more often than at any other point, so the route is built to settle the file before a run is booked.
Send vector artwork with fonts outlined, your Pantone references, and a placement plan showing what belongs in the centre well and what belongs on the rim.
We come back with a 3D digital sample that confirms the structure first, because artwork placement depends on the shape it is printed onto. Once the structure is agreed, a printed mock-up follows within 72 hours.
Forming draws the board, and a design laid across the centre well moves as the plate is formed. We lay out the repeat so the elements that must stay true, meaning your logo, statutory text and brand colour block, sit where the board moves least, and the proof shows you exactly how the artwork lands on a formed plate rather than on a flat sheet. Elements that need to sit clear of the food-contact area are placed accordingly at the same time.
The approved proof becomes the physical reference that the on-line inspection gate checks against during production, so registration and colour on the run are judged against the sample you approved rather than against a description of it.
The same route covers logo printing, full custom artwork, dated event printing for one-off occasions, and private label and OEM/ODM programmes where only your brand appears on the plate and the carton.
The plant standard, applied to paper
Paper plates pass the same four gates as everything else made here: incoming material, die and mould validation, on-line inspection, and finished-goods AQL.
Food-grade paperboard is checked against the grade ordered, covering surface condition, coating integrity, the moisture condition of the stock as received, and the supplier’s food-contact documentation. Board that arrives out of condition never reaches the forming station.
This is the gate that holds batch-to-batch consistency, which is the one thing a repeat buyer actually feels. The cutting die and forming mould are validated before a run and re-validated at each batch, checking rim formation, the pleat pattern around the draw and how the finished plates stack. That is what keeps a reorder dispensing the same way in the same counter dispenser as the first delivery, and what keeps a second production run visually identical to the first on the same buffet line.
Sampling runs through the production run against the approved first-off and the frozen artwork proof: print registration, colour against the proof, forming defects and contamination.
Sampling runs on the batch before packing. Material that fails any gate is held and re-run; it is not passed down the line on a concession.
At enquiry stage and under NDA you receive certificate copies, SGS test reports and food-contact declarations, so your own compliance review can start before a purchase order exists.
Non-catalogue work
Cutting dies and forming moulds are made in our own tooling workshop on this site, which is the capability that separates a paper plate manufacturer from a converter buying tooling in. A rim height, a depth or a compartment layout that is not in a standard catalogue is cut here, so a revision does not go into an outside die maker’s queue and come back on somebody else’s schedule.
Why buyers move both sides here
Foodservice buyers rarely need plates alone, and most paper plate manufacturers can only serve half the basket. Because the paper plate line and our rigid packaging lines run in the same plant, plates and PET, PP or CPET containers go on one order, one quotation and one production schedule.

Transit and arrival
Paper plates are vulnerable in transit in a way rigid containers are not, and mixed programmes are vulnerable on arrival, so both are handled at the packing stage rather than left to chance.
Plates are inner-packed in sealed stacks, so a carton opened at a store is opened one stack at a time rather than exposing the whole box.
Outer cartons carry a moisture-barrier liner, desiccant is added where the route or the season calls for it, and pallets are stretch-wrapped for the container leg. That combination is aimed at the condensation cycle inside a container, which is what turns edges wavy and makes a stack difficult to separate long before anyone opens a carton.
Carton marking is written to a level a distribution centre can sort on without opening a box: structure, coating, print version and destination store group. A mixed-SKU order carrying several structures, several coatings and several print versions arrives ready to cross-dock, so a receiving team routes cartons to stores directly instead of breaking down a container to find out what is inside it.
Packaging is one of the seven specification dimensions, so inner pack format, carton marking content and pallet configuration are all set with you before the run rather than defaulted to whatever the line usually does.
